A House in Fullerton

Situated in the hills of Fullerton, this 4,950-square-foot residence was comprehensively renovated to frame stunning hilltop views and lush, towering palms. Guided by the client’s appreciation for authentic, highly tactile materials, the interior architecture was entirely reconfigured. The kitchen and family rooms were opened into a single fluid volume, while the dedicated dining area was reimagined for elevated entertaining.

The design’s central narrative is driven by an audacious, opulent material palette, utilizing distinct natural stones to give each space a unique architectural identity.

In the newly opened kitchen and breakfast area, the sumptuous, regal veining of Calacatta Viola marble contrasts beautifully with crisp, white lacquered cabinetry, bringing an atmosphere of morning luxury. Moving to the guest spaces, the verdant, vegetal hues of White Beauty marble create a distinctly modern and exotic powder room.

Designed as a voluminous, sunlit retreat, the primary bathroom is a massive, high-ceilinged space flooded with abundant daylight. The walls are enveloped in Breccia Capraia slabs, whose polychromatic veining of deep burgundies, rich purples, and charcoal blacks functions as large-scale art. A custom double vanity, featuring a heavy stone apron front and thick integrated backsplash, anchors the room alongside raw, unlacquered brass fixtures and a freestanding tub. The adjacent shower is clad in Milas Lilac marble, introducing a sharp, energetic geometry that maintains the room's lavish feel while offering a cleaner visual finish.

In the formal dining room, a dramatic Panda White marble fireplace wall grounds the space. Illuminated by a Lindsey Adelman branch chandelier and centered around a Nendo Wedge table, it provides a tailored backdrop for family dinners.

The interior's sophisticated, bold aesthetic flows outward to the garden, where mature trees and a mosaic-tiled pool offer a luxurious outdoor retreat. Finished with thoughtfully curated bespoke furniture and lighting, the residence stands as a testament to timeless elegance and uncompromising detail.
